Our way to Florida
Our adventures began on July 6 00:40, when Delta flight left Tel Aviv on time.
We spent 11 hours on the plan:
eating maily sweets and food from home (the childrens' meals we ordered didn't arrive))' sleeping uncomfortably, listening to music, watching TV (a good variety of movies to be chosen) speaking and reading.
The entrance to the USA was with the known long line in the immigration, but the meeting with the policewomen was even more difficult: A letter of permission from Anat and Uzi and from Merav and Eitan to travel with their kids was needed, and I didn't have such a letter!!! So,
WE'RE NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER THE USA!
An unpleasant conversation with the policewoman followed,
and
the happy ending happened due to Omry's answers to the highly inteligent questions of the policewoman:
policewoman (pointing at me): Who is this woman?
Omry: My grandmother
Policewoman (pointing at Stav): Who is this girl? Is she your sister?
Omry: No, she is my cousin.
No more questions, but a frightening look at me
saying "NOW YOU KNOW HOW TO TYRAVELL WITH KIDS" and
we were allowed to move on.
Happy and excited we took our way to the baggage claim, to customs and to the next flight.
We were lucky to have some extra time (the international flight landed 45 minutes earlier than planned) to have some food at 6:00 o'cloch in the morning: 20 MCdonalds nuggets for Stav and a doughnut for Omry, to take the shuttle bus to terminal 2, to buy bottles of water and to throw them away, to get to the plan on time.
Waiting for the suitcases in FFL airport Lisa arrived and the happy and pleasant part ofthe day began.
After a very warm welcome we all entered Debra's very comfortable car, and Lisa took us to Boca, to her place .
A pleasant day followed, ending with a very happy meeting with Katie and Douglas and a tasty Shabat dinner together.
